New schedules, different classes, and refreshed grade books are known to many to be the start of the second semester. There are many adjustments students will encounter in the new semester and there is much excitement about it. As usual, students are holding high expectations for the second semester and are hoping to see them come to fruition.

“I am excited about the different classes we’re having… I think it will be fun because I get to try new things,” seventh grader Semira Arora said.

In contrast, Siegel is excited for the second semester for a different reason.

“I’m excited to not have to set up class expectations again and just be focused on the learning,” Siegel said.

As is apparent, there is much excitement about the second semester. However, there is also nervousness among the students and teachers of Pinewood.

“I’m nervous about helping my students achieve the goals set for them,” Siegel said.

Many have set out to accomplish their goals during the second semester. Siegel also commented on what she believes will be her greatest accomplishment in the second semester.

“My accomplishment will be just surviving my first year at Pinewood since the first year is always the hardest,” Siegel said.

Across the Pinewood campuses, students and teachers everywhere are gearing up to have a great second semester.
